Director of Operations Sunrise Reach
Position Type: Part-Time (approx. 25 hours/month) with the opportunity to grow with us!

Location: Hybrid (Remote / In-Person) 

Compensation: $20/hour

About the Role
Sunrise Reach is looking for an organized, self-motivated Director of Operations to help run the day-to-day operations of our food pantry and support our outreach and communications efforts. This is a part-time role to start, but we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us – as our organization expands, this position can grow with it, with the potential to take on additional hours and responsibilities over time.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable wearing many hats, and wants to make a direct, tangible impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities –
Food Pantry Operations: Help run the monthly food pantry, including backend organization such as customer and volunteer management, organization and planning, and website management

Marketing & Communications: Manage social media accounts and create email campaigns to engage supporters, donors, and the community

Website Management: Make regular updates to the organization’s website to keep content current and accurate

Business Outreach: Build and maintain relationships with local businesses for donations, partnerships, and sponsorships

General Operations Support: Assist with other operational needs of the organization as they arise

Board & Committee Collaboration: Work closely with the Board of Directors and committee members to support planning, share updates, and help carry out organizational initiatives

Schedule & Availability –
Approximately 25 hours per month
Most hours are flexible and can be arranged around the employee’s schedule
Required availability: the third Monday of every month and the Friday immediately preceding it
This is a hybrid position — some work can be done remotely, while pantry operations and other duties require in-person presence

Physical Requirements-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand, bend, and move continuously during food pantry operations

Qualifications –
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience with social media platforms and email marketing tools (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Mailchimp)
Comfort with basic website content management (WordPress)
Excellent communication skills, with confidence reaching out to local businesses
Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
Prior experience with nonprofits, food pantries, or community outreach is a plus but not required
