Every box packed, every clothing rack organized, and every family served is possible because of volunteers.

Volunteer at the May 2026 Family Clothing Giveaway
This is a 4-day event:
Thursday – Sorting Event
Volunteers for the sorting event will sort and fold donated clothing at Sunshine Brewing Company.
Thursday – Event Set-up Volunteers for Event Set-Up will set up tables, unpack bins, and sort and fold clothing at the LM Municipal Building.
Friday & Saturday – Open to Shoppers
Volunteers on these days will help shoppers, continue sorting donations, and refold clothing as needed.
Sunday – Event Clean-up
We’ll pack up the event, store clothing in bins, and take down tables.
Volunteer every third Monday at the Pop-Up Food Pantry!
Pantry Crew volunteers help set up and run the food packing assembly line by moving boxes, packing food shares, and keeping the event organized and efficient. They also assist with cleanup tasks like sweeping floors, breaking down boxes, and resetting the space after the pantry ends.
Delivery Drivers help bring food directly to families in the community through no-contact porch deliveries. Volunteers load food boxes into their vehicles, follow a provided delivery route, and should be comfortable lifting around 45 lbs.
Join a Sunrise Reach Committee
As a volunteer-run organization, committees are essential to ensuring the success and sustainability of our core programs, fundraising efforts, community partnerships, and outreach initiatives. Their support helps us continue serving families efficiently while building a stronger, more connected community through Sunrise Reach.
Food Pantry
Ensure the smooth operation of the monthly Sunrise Pop-Up food pantry at Sunshine Brewing Company by leading volunteers, overseeing logistics, and managing the assembly line.
Clothing Giveaway
Plan for the success of Sunrise Reach’s biannual clothing giveaways by organizing volunteers, maintaining a welcoming and organized environment, and promoting the event to maximize community participation and support.
Fundraising
Support Sunrise Reach’s mission by developing and executing fundraising strategies, applying to local and national grants, and increasing awareness of the organization and its programs.
Retail Connections
Build and maintain strong relationships between Sunrise Reach and local businesses, organizations, and community partners by coordinating food retail recovery efforts, connecting with potential sponsors and donors, and ensuring businesses feel informed, appreciated, and engaged in our mission.
Marketing Committee
Spread awareness about Sunrise Reach, its programs, volunteer opportunities, and community impact by assisting with social media content, event promotion, flyer distribution, photography, storytelling, newsletters, and other outreach efforts that help connect community members with available resources and ways to get involved.
Volunteer your Garden!
Volunteer to grow fresh produce to distribute at our monthly Food Pantry. Produce can be dropped off the day before or morning of the pantry on top of the donation box (located on the back patio at Sunshine Brewing Company (121 S. Main Street, Lake Mills)).
No amount of produce is too little!
